We’re thrilled you’re considering becoming part of our forest school family!

At Toledo Collaborative Forest School (TCFS), a small group of dedicated moms collaboratively creates a nurturing, year-round outdoor learning community just outside Toledo.

Here, children are immersed in nature — climbing trees, building forts, exploring the woods, taking joyful risks, and learning through play. We prioritize child-led learning, holistic development, resilience, creativity, and the building of real friendships in a supportive, relationship-rich environment. Rain, shine, or snow — we’re in the same beloved woodland

spot each week.

Our program has deepened and grown over the last couple of years, and we’re now opening applications for a very limited number of new families who share our values and vision.

Our Thoughtful Admissions Process

Because our group is intentionally small and focused on deep alignment, we use a multi-step application process. This helps ensure it’s a great mutual fit for both your family and our community.

The process typically includes:

Submission of a two-part written application
Interviews and a collaborative conversation about our values and expectations
A trial session visit in the woods
Sitting in on a moms’ meeting

At each stage, we thoughtfully evaluate fit and decide together whether to continue. We only move forward when it feels right for everyone involved.
